The no trade clause argument just means he is not going to other teams that people keep bringing up. Trade or no trade is a different discussion.

No one really knew how Perry's influence would affect the deal. From what we know, a deal was in place with Phil. Him leaving and Perry coming in was a big-ass curve ball.

Why not go to training camp with Knicks: I like to call the Pros.

    1. It would be a big distraction. Melo, and other players would get tons of questions about "Do you want to be here?", "Would you rather be in Houston?", "Are you only here for Lala?", "How do you feel about the Knicks organization?", .... And knowing reporters, the next day would be the same questions are variations there of.

    2. They have said they want to move in a different directions, away from Melo's skillset. Younger, more defensive. Why not get assets (from 3rd team most likely) that gets you there? would draft pick(s) be better that an aging offensive focused player?

    3. The Knicks have removed him from all the promotional stuffs. Clear sign they do not expect him to be with the team. Maybe it is just precautionary. He may or may not, so let's not risk it. That still means the Knicks do not "really" want him.

    4. If Hordacek is trying to teach new and young players to play the way he wants, and you have Melo playing a different way, How will that go over?
He played his own style for D'Antoni and Jackson. Do you think he will change for Hordacek? What influence would that have on the new/young players.

    Sum that to X.

Reasons why he would stay in NY: Will call the Cons.

    1. Assets returned in trade are not good enough or too costly. Figure the money for the trade is close. So the pieces must not fit the direction they want to move. Surely some team has something better than letting Melo walk for nothing, or even a slight cost to offset X.

    Sum that to Y.

So the question is, which is greater X or Y?

    I would think X

please add more pros or cons if anyone thinks of any
Re-kindle with Lala(?). Not a Knicks concern so not included.

I went to the strip club with melo last night. When you are with Melo, strip clubs turn into escort agencies!

    4:44

Quran: Have you not considered those to whom a portion of the Book has been given? They buy error and desire that you should go astray from the way.
(This is like saying that a portion of the truth is abused by those trying to lead you away from the right way to live.)

John: Now Jesus himself had pointed out that a prophet has no honor in his own country.
(Odd seeing that before this people anointed Jesus as the savior of the world. Seems like kind of a mixed message.)

Herodotus, The Histories Book 4, Chapter 44: But as to Asia, most of it was discovered by Darius. There is a river, Indus, second of all rivers in the production of crocodiles. Darius, desiring to know where this Indus empties into the sea, sent ships manned by Scylax, a man of Caryanda, and others whose word he trusted; [2] these set out from the city of Caspatyrus and the Pactyic country, and sailed down the river toward the east and the sunrise until they came to the sea; and voyaging over the sea west, they came in the thirtieth month to that place from which the Egyptian king sent the above-mentioned Phoenicians to sail around Libya. [3] After this circumnavigation, Darius subjugated the Indians and made use of this sea. Thus it was discovered that Asia, except the parts toward the rising sun, was in other respects like Libya.
(Basically, he wanted to know an answer, so he traveled)

Deuteronomy: This is the law Moses set before the Israelites.
(Moses is like have any of you heard from God lately? Nope? Well I have and here's the new law of the land.)

Tao: The Tao is so simple, brilliant and short that it needs no 44th of a fourth section.
    (Nothing here, absolutely nothing.)

... so any theories about what page 444 might 'mean'?
