Knicks, Rockets working on Carmelo Anthony trade scenarios

Favors is an expiring but what use would NYK have for him with KP, Willy, Noah, Oquinn in the front court.. maybe they sell him at the deadline or theres a 4th team involved who takes him for a minimal asset?

 

At this point, I'm certain the Knicks would prefer a player that can contribute and is on an expiring deal.

 

Why do people always think high motor sneaky athletes fit in Utah? Is it the altitude making their relentless sneak attack more effective?

Yeah, he's expiring, but that's one more reason for Utah to shop him since it looks like they don't want to pay him (and i think they're right btw).

With the Knicks i think he would play the 5, again, not a true center or rim protector, but he's still a solid defender, big and strong body...with Porzingis they should be good overall. And i think the Knicks have literally zero chance to sign a better player than Favors in free agency anyway, this may be another reason for them to be ok with getting Favors.

Hernangomez is interesting, but i'm not sure he's starter material, i think he should do just fine from the bench...same for O'Quinn, and overall i think they can easily trade one of them and get a decent asset back so, they shouldn't be a problem.

As for Noah i don't know, but speaking about him i think we should start saying that he's probably the worse contract in the league, i think the Knicks know this too unless they're more delusional than what we already think so...maybe they should just stretch him or let his contract die, it's 3 years which is bad but eh, it's not like they're contending any time soon and/or they can move him without losing Porzingis so, yeah...they have just to live with that contract.

Anderson makes a ton of sense for the Jazz given that they brought in Rubio. They need to spread the floor from the 4 spot, and Favours is in his final year now - would be nice alongisde a Porzingis, not so fluent alongside a Gobert.
