Wow, Lebron to Houston could be real. Cavs are done.

not sure why Melo would agree to go to Cleveland at this point

Lebron isn't staying, and losing Kyrie just makes the situation even more unappealing

Yeah clearly the cavs wouldn't do that but maybe they'd do Kyrie to a third team for a pg and picks and then picks and trash to New York for melo.

Would melo refuse at that point? I don't know maybe

the only thing the Knicks have that could get them Kyrie is Porzingis, and the Knicks aren't doing that

This must be why Melo's been prioritizing Houston over Cavs, Bron Bron must have told him it's a burning house.

No doubt, this has Suns or Nuggets written all over it.

I'm sure the Knicks would trade Carmelo for Durant or Curry in a heartbeat, too, but those deals about the same chance of happening as a Carmelo/Kyrie proposal.

Irving is 25 years old, a star, and under contract for multiple seasons moving forward. If Cleveland decides to move him, and that's a massive if, I'm pretty confident they should (and would) get a ton more in return than a 33-year-old Carmelo Anthony.

Also, from Carmelo's perspective, if he was focused on the Rockets over Cleveland already... then I don't see how a Cleveland roster without its second-best player would somehow become more attractive.

Apparently Bron was caught off guard with the news. If he's a good friend he would tell Melo not to go there. lol

Pretty sure with this kyrie news coming out its pretty clear why melo shifted his full focus a little over a week ago to the rockets.

This makes me feel even better about our chances for melo and they were already high.

Lebron is out and everyone in that organization knows it.

With that said and this has nothing to do with melo at all. I think he's houston bound whether Lebron wanted to stay with the Cavs or not.

There were rumors that kyrie wanted out after that first season with Lebron. I think kyrie does want to play in Nyc. He's a jersey kid his family still lives there and it's pretty obvious that not only is clevland not New York but that franchise is a mess from ownership on down. They have 3 good contracts in Lebron kyrie and love but everyone else on that roster is so overpaid and locked up for 2+ years.

Cavs are just in a really bad spot.

Glad Lebron got them that chip, they can't be that mad when he chunks up the duece on his way to houston to play with cp3, melo and his successor James Harden.

    Fantastic news to the Rockets:

    1) Knicks' leverage (if any at all), is officially non-existent
    2) Possibility of Lebron leaving is rapidly increasing. Odds he ends up with Rockets too.

Maybe, just maybe, since Kyrie is younger and still under contract, the Cavs trade......Lebron. He is leaving next summer anywayn
