    Phil: This was my decision
Phil on successor: "Someone has to match the style of how we do things."
Phil, on whether the next coach needs to run the triangle: "It's not paramount, but it's important."
Phil on if he thought about taking over: "Not for one second." He said he physically can't
Phil Jackson says that the team was embarrassed by Derek Fisher's run in w/Matt Barnes but it didn't factor in
"We want this team competitive day in and day out."
Phil: "We thought our players could be playing better."
Phil said "some of that onus is on the players. I let them know that today."
Phil said Rambis will be the interim for the rest of the season.

From my Twitter knowledge, I THINK he's referring to his "timeline." I could be wrong, but when it's Twitter, it's usually your timeline.

It's a dog eat dog world for coaches. This firing was somewhat out of nowhere, and I agree, there's gotta be an issue that goes beyond the court. If Fish is preying on his players' significant others on social media, that's just unprofessional, and it's something too damaging to repair a coach/team relationship. Thibs will be good wherever he goes, and I could see him turning that wretched organization around.

Melo has to be miserable, and I bet he regrets his decision of hoping for change on the Knicks. It's not happening and he's getting older, fairly quickly.

I'm just hoping the Suns' job opens up "The Baws," obviously for personal reasons. :)

Melo stayed because it was the right business and family decision. Losing and organizational instability were a given. If it weren't for Porzingis' early emergence, would Fisher even be fired "for losing"?

Probably a lot of pressures here, but seems obvious to me that Phil heard the Lakers will approach Walton and he had to make a move before them.

Walton is assisting Kerr (who Phil offered the job to), understood the triangle very well when he played and has played for Phil.

No chance Thibodeau will be a Knick, he is not Phil Jackson material, zero interpersonal skills.

Derek Fisher NOT a good person/creeper??? lol...who wouldve thought.

I still hate how he used his daughter's illness to get out of his contract...only then to sign with the Lakers. He is the definition of scum...Matt Barnes is totally laughing up a storm.

yeah right. And if you want to find connections you can. Especially in a league like the NBA who recycles most of the people all the time.
And the Suns had Kerr as a GM. Coincidence?

It takes a special kind of scum to make Matt Barnes look like a decent person. Derek Fisher is that guy.

The next coach to be fired also have GSW connection:
1.) Karl coached for the Warriors
2.) Seth played for the Warriors
3.) Kings selected Tyrene and Jimmy, letting Warriors take Curry and Thompson

I would actually pay for league pass to watch the Knicks play if Rodman were hired to coach. Way too much potential for hilarity and craziness.
