Add the kings. Its only a matter of time. Possibly also the pelicans and wizards. And if the Wolves owner sells as he plans to do Mitchel too. Whats the record for most coaches fired in a season? And Fisher had a 5 year contract that was pretty big too. Lol.
Kurt Rambis is the dude that used to play in goggles and scuffled with everyone right? I'm all for him being the Knicks new coach.

Luke Walton might be a great fit for the New York Knicks, although I may feel like the Houston Rockets should give Walton some thought on becoming the next coach.
Phil is going to hire someone he is familiar with. All the coaching names involved with him have been people he's familiar with, coached with, been a player for him... The names of Brian Shaw or Luke Walton make a lot more sense. Luke Walton makes a ton of sense here.

and it's quite possible that this firing is not Phil's but Nolan's who has done stuff like that repeatedly over the years again and again. We don't know who made this decision or who will make the next one. If they hire Shaw they are idiots, because he self admittedly can't coach young players.
Anything is possible I guess. But it seems odd that you would hire Phil Jackson, and then not allow him to run things. I thought Phil was hired to make all the basketball decisions. I can't imagine Phil wanting to stay if the owner is going to fire the coach that Phil hand picked to coach the team.

Plus he can tell us the warriors' secrets. wait i already know them...we don't play defense and we dont have curry. fired in season: rockets nets cavaliers suns knicks fired before the start: thunder magic pelicans bulls
It is the Knicks so yeah anything is possible. I could see them being that dysfunctional to hire a guy and then don't let him do the job they hired him for... But yeah all the names that have been connected with the Knicks Job have been former players or coaches under Phil. I think it's clear that if it is up to Phil he's going to hire someone under his tree.
