I could see him joining Dennis Rodman's team. He would be a perfect fit.

Pretty sure the window has never been open and will remain closed as long as they have the same owner. The Knicks are a joke. No one cares about the "bright light" of New York because it will never equate to winning championships.

Get ready to shovel out first rounders in 2018, 2020, 2022....

Gave him a player option in 2015-16. The Knicks are clueless.

I think he would be a great fit with the Lakers.

I know Dolan will always screw things up, as he clearly did when he hired Donnie Walsh ... but if they should throw money at anyone, it should be at Daryl Morey or a moneyball disciple.

I agree, they have better chance of tanking if they get him.

I was going to say, I doubt anyone really wants J.R. Smith. Childish player.

I thought Walsh actually helped them clear out of a lot of the mess when he was actually left to be the GM - it was when he stepped back in and force Walsh to make the trade for Melo that the downfall came in and Walsh left.

I mean the trade for T-Mac was not a good one for the Knicks but it served its purpose and they used that cap space to sign Amare who was actually really good and resurrected the Knicks that first season but then the knees caved in like crazy

Javale is injured. Brian Shaw is a Laker at heart.

JR has left even a bad impression in China. Always looking for a fight.

I can see Detroit going for it, since it's a legit opportunity for them to unload Josh Smith, plus both Bargnani and Smith's skill sets mesh well with their current incompatible players.

Bargnani and JR Smith for Josh Smith and Bynum or Stuckey. I would actually be interested in seeing a Bargnani/Drummond tandem, while Smith could give Detroit the range they're lacking to free up the inside for Monroe and Drummond. Josh Smith is less crappy at the 4 spot (where the Knicks need help) and the Knicks don't mind overpaying people it seems. Bynum/Stuckey are fillers, who knows maybe they beat Felton/Udrih for minutes.

No one would take the gamble on him for 2 more seasons. If he was on the last leg of his contract some teams might want him as an expiring. As it is, there is no market for him.

The Knicks and Woodson are so dumb, I don't know why he continues to get 30 min every night. Their accountability is worse than us.

If I were John Hammonds I'd be on the phone discussing a Smith/Shumpert for Sanders swap.

Who's more difficult to trade, JR or STAT?
