Go Bobcats! Thundercats! HOOOOOOOO! <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/7Ylq6Qxsykg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I love hearing the boos in MSG. The announcers are like, "pretty angry crowd here tonight" and I go, "par for the course in NYC". It's like rooting for the house in blackjack; every missed shot, turnover, stupid decision by Melo, you're gonna be satisfied more often then not.
D'Antoni on the hotseat, if he keeps losing to lottery teams. After tonight's loss, Knicks have the 3rd draft pick in the lottery. There are only 2 teams with worse records, Wizards and Nets. Exit...stage left
...although, if Melo has anything to say about it. They're playing in the playoffs, he's never missed the playoffs in his career.
If the Rockets make the playoffs, the Nets get their pick. Basically, there's a chance they could have 2 1st Rounders, or possibly none .
This could be the year that everything turns around. A top 5 pick and a top 10 Knicks pick along with one big FA signing (DHoward plz) and we're in business.
FYI, the actual lottery drawings are physically attended by representatives from every lottery team. Their cell phones are confiscated, and they can't communicate with the "main" representatives sitting behind those lame fake podia in the TV studio. The lottery is not rigged. At least, not anymore.
You must not have watched the Prestige. Everything can be rigged. The more exclusive show is still just a Show.
How about sending NJ Lowry, Thabeet, and removing the lottery protection from the pick we owe them for DWill??? That leaves us plenty of assets to go after Dwight, including NY's pick.
What if the next trade after that one was Martin/Scola/Dally/whatever else for Dwight/Hedo/whatever else??? Now does it make sense?
Actually, Spoiler I think he's more like the Jackman character -- he has not problem repeatedly killing himself to prove a point.
After everything New Jersey gave up to get Deron Williams, there is no way they trade him this season. They have pushed all their chips in on building around him and another star. Even if they cant pull off a trade by the deadline, they will most likely try to sell D-Will on being able to acquire another star via free agency or offseason trade using their copious amount of cap room. Plus, they'll probably dare Williams to leave ~$26M on the table by leaving the Nets in free agency. That, and Prokhorov might put a hit out on him if he leaves.
