Bev will be perfect in a triangle system where he's not expected to be a real PG. His strengths will be properly utilized and his weaknesses covered. He's like a faster Fisher with less accurate shooting though this may actually improve due to triangle.

beverley seems like a nice guy. like others have said he has worked very hard to get to this point. so i hope he gets paid.

just remember people that he may not make in his entire stay in the nba as much as anthony davis will in one nba season.

It's a position we need to upgrade by about at least 15 slots and 2 more inches. He adds energy and enthusiasm, but not much else as his defense against elite pg's was average at best. We can find what he offers without even looking too hard.

He was in the gym until midnight the day after the Rockets flew back from Game 5 of the WCF. Cast and all. You sound ridiculous.

It's one thing when someone like Carmelo talks a big game about wanting to win and then ends up going for the money when he's already a multi-millionaire 100 times over. Compared to someone with the career arc of Bev who scratched and clawed just to get into the league and now has maybe his one and only chance at securing a multi-year contract. He needs to put his needs first and we should respect him for that.

I don't blame Baverley for taking the money, if there is no loyalty from owners and GMs then why should there be from players?

Gtfo with all this Bev bashing.... the WCF WOULD have been dramatically different if Beg was out there terrorizing Steph.

Begs impact doesn't show up on the boxscore... his energy and swagger helps get other guys in check

Crazy that people are actively rooting for Beverley to leave.

    Just makes no sense.

Bev is actually one of the very few players that would be a great fit in NY with Carmelo and its fanbase.

This is a great point. If the Rockets don't keep Beverley, I would love to see them get a large expiring contract for him in a S&T. If they're lucky enough to be able to pursue a Durant trade this upcoming season, I don't want to have to give up Ariza like the Spurs just gave up Splitter in order to make the trade $ work.

I'll be sad if/when Bev leaves. One of my favorite players these last few years.

My issue with Beverly is that he's injury prone, he's been hurt just 2 of the last 3 playoff series. He has done enough with his reputation as a stingy defender to get paid but I don't want the Rockets being the team that pays him. I think they need to upgrade.

Agree its nuts. Bev was the real missing piece in the playoffs for the rockets. Having two 37 year old PGs and still going to the WCF was astounding.

The only time i'll hate Patrick Beverley is when the Rockets are playing against him. He's a gamer y'all... and a hard worker.

Man totally rooting for Bev. Deserves every penny based on his journey. The dude has been unlucky with some weird injuries, but when on the court, he gives you everything and then some. Wished his jumpshot was more consistent, bc the Rockets wouldve kept him for sure.

Wishing him the best regardless of where ever he plays...
