You are very misinformed. He's more than a shooter. He may not be a superstar, but he's an all-star, more than a role player. He can dribble, create his own shots, post up smaller players, and penetrate. He's also arguably a top 3 perimeter defender in this league. He's the 2nd best player on the best team in the league. At his age, and the rate of improvement, he will even get better.
As luck would have it, League Pass was running a free week and I got to catch this game. It was a remarkable performance by an outstanding NBA star...a performance for the ages. The fans were going crazy...more crazy than usual... and the announcers went berserk. Reminded me of "Brew's" game against the Rockets.
GS just has a loaded roster and their players are peaking at the same time. They can be exploited inside and their shooting will cool off.
What? Tony Allen, Jimmy Butler, Lance, Bradley, Iman easily better defenders than him, that's just outta SG's) He's mostly a shooter, can't create for others, can't get to the FT line, can't be #1 option nor franchise player. Very good player none the less, but not a superstar caliber. Put Klay instead of Harden on this team, we wouldn't make the playoffs, our best passer would be Josh Smith LOL.
I thought Mark Jackson was full of crap when he said they were the best shooting backcourt ever... He was right!
Curry is unrestricted in 2017. Thompson is locked in until 2019. They are stuck with David Lee's awful contract next year. Speights is signed for cheap next season (team option). Barnes can't test free agency until 2016. Iggy will be gone in 2017 if they don't trade him sooner. Bogut is there until 2017. I believe Green will leave this summer because someone will offer him a contract the Warriors will not match. Bottom line: Except for Green, Warriors can bring this same squad back the next 2 years without doing anything. They don't have to worry much about keeping this team together. If they can somehow dump Lee, Iggy (or both) it would give them a good chance to re-sign Green or match another team.
Damn you Klay Thompson. Heading into halftime the Kings only trailed by 5 and I was feeling good about my Sacramento +16 bet. Klay Thompson squashed all hopes in the 3rd quarter. Traumatized.
Dude was compared to Kmart coming out of college. Tall, slim frame ad a good jumper I love me some Kmart but Klay absolutely blows Martin out.
