    LOL, get that money Trevor.

The Kings are wisely using that precious cap space to build a fringe playoff team. Just when you think a franchise might be putting it together they spend 50 million over the next 2 seasons on Dedmon and Ariza.

Dumb move for the Kings. Good move for the Rockets as I was afraid the Kings would pose a serious threat to the Rockets to land DeMarre Carroll who I like a lot.

**** that ****, that's the game the media spins. Players should focus on money, then comfort and then winning. Trev got 12.5 mil a year, he's back in Cali, Sacto but **** it he's closet to home. And who knows what else the kings do that could get them into the playoffs this season. Very smart move by Trev, get that paper

I wasn’t hating on him. I don’t even like to think of the things I’d do for that kind of dough.

Paying Ariza $25M for 2 years is not what teams with bright futures do.

And paying for a broken cp with no young talent or picks is a bright futured team?

Whether u like this move or not, having Aliza will help their young guys get some playoff experience which is vital. They have 3-4 guys that really can be their core for the future. I really do like their young core

    Phoenix last year:

    Washington (also last year)

Who gets to say this in 2020? Charlotte? Dallas?

Whether you like this move or not, a young team having an old player way out of his prime being paid $12M a year IS NOT a good thing.

The Kings did this because they needed to spend that money this year and next, and finding a player that can approach that type of money, but wouldn’t demand more years, is really hard.

It’s the same reason Ariza was paid $15M by Phoenix last year. It was clear as day that he wasn't worth $15M last year, and it’s clear as day that he isn’t worth $12M this year.

how many players are truly worth their actual contracts these days. not many at all. that's just the reality of it. ariza for $12 per is not that bad at all.

I agree that it is a slight overpay, but a team like the Kings needs to learn how to win. Ariza provides championship experience and he can help mentor their young core. Ariza also adds an element of toughness that I think that team lacked last year.

Having quality vets in the locker room who can help teach and mold a young team has a lot of value imho.
