Brooks definitely fits the mold of a point to pair up with Harden, at least offensively. But as long as Harden continues to lazy it up on D, he wouldn't get time over Beverly.
Sure, why not. Then we can have Lin/Brooks debates like we had Lowry/Brooks debates. Just like old times!!!
Sign him up Morey. Beverley's decent but Brooks averaged almost 20 PPG in a Rockets uniform for a season. Plus he's only 28!
Why/How did Brooks leave the Rockets in the first place? Why would he/Rockets' management want him back now?
Rockets should definitely sign Brooks. If Lin or Beverley were to get injured, we'd only have 1 PG. Beverley has no playoff experience and barely any NBA experience at that. Brooks gives us somewhat of a veteran and a fan favorite and someone who can contribute. He sure as hell would fit perfectly in this offense. I'd take him over Honeycutt.
He was cashed in for Dragic and a draft pick (which ultimately led to Dmo I think) just before the lock out and free agency. Why would Rockets want him back? 1.) They have cap space 2.) He is a good player 3.) He fits in our system 4.) PG is one of our weakest positions. 5.) Classic buy low move 6.) Keep him off the Lakers and Jazz who we are fighting for a playoff spot and desperately need a PG.
Why not? It's either him or Honeycutt. How do you not make that switch? We need another PG who can bring the ball up and knock down the three. What happens if Lin or Beverly gets injured?
AB was shooting 49% and 41% on 3 pointers when starting. He is a legit offensive threat. Harden could get him going...
The Rockets should want him and he should want the Rockets. He fills a need, and what better way to showcase himself than by hitting 3s in the playoffs? Plus, he'd get some playoff cash, which I'm sure he'd like to have.
I wonder how much effect Manu had on Aaron Brooks' career. He hasn't been the same since. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/gpwqIQaGFmg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Brooks stats in 46 games this season: 8.0 PPG on 46% FG and 38% from three 2.3 APG 1.7 RPG 1.4 TO In 20.8 minutes per game
He actually should go to a contender .... He can easily score a big contract. The guy plays well in big games.
5 step process. Step 1) Sign him Step 2) Play him solid minutes Step 3) Build up his trade value again Step 4) Trade him for someone who will be way more valuable. Step 5) Post obligatory
