Good trade for all involved. Dak is over 30 now and is even older when it comes to snap count. Lance will get his shot in Dallas before it's all over. 49ers claw back some value for a guy who was never going to start. Everyone wins.
I do wish they had traded for Lance and not drafted Stroud. But not used a first Rd pick to get him. I was good with one of the 3rds from the last draft.

LOL. Lance, who couldn't beat our Sam Darnold for a backup role to Purdy (a 7th round pick). ****ing delusional. Could a change a scenery help him? Sure. However, I'm not betting my starting QB position on it.
Lance at best is a mid level 3rd string QB, and I firmly believe the cowboys overpaid for him. He’s not an NFL QB. Stroud is better than Lance, I think every QB drafted this past year is better than Lance. The fact that DeMeco and Slovik wanted nothing to do with him after spending multiple years around him tells me all I need to know
Lance looks bad. I thought picking him up might be a good gamble, but the more I've seen of him the less impressed I am. Stroud is a much safer bet.
That's talk for after the season but yeah, if you can get a 3 (or even a high 4) for him next offseason you do it and bring in a vet to backup and a young guy to develop.
you seem to have a low opinion of a guy who wasn't able to beat out Sam Darnold for backup QB but have a high opinion of a guy who wasn't able to beat out Malik Willis for backup QB.
I don't think the Cowboys think Cooper is their future and a lot can happen in two years. Its possible he never sees the field, but I think odds are better than not he will at some point. Especially in Dallas VS SF.
A third year guy that was traded a ransom for vs a rookie where the coach said the plan was for him to sit a year. Yeah, those are the same things. Why do you want Lance to succeed and not Levis? Little suspect
Maybe, but I don’t think Lance comes in if Dak gets hurt. That’s Coopers job. And I don’t see Dak giving up the position before Lance contract is up
It really depends on how the Cowboys are doing. If they're out of the playoff race, Lance will be in there at some point. Especially if it's looking like Dak won't be getting an extension.
