    A strong performance in the Minnesota summer league paid off for free agent forward Lonny Baxter, who signed with the Houston Rockets. The 6-foot-8 Baxter averaged 21 points and six rebounds in five games for the Houston entry. "We like his energy, size and I think he'll be a very good defender under (coach Jeff Van Gundy)," Rockets general manager Carroll Dawson told the Houston Chronicle. ...
