According to MN's Star Tribune, it was lupus. My deepest sympathies and heartfelt prayers go out to Kevin McHale and his family on the passing of daugher Sasha on Saturday. McHale, the longtime Wolves executive and head coach, has been on leave from his job as Houston's coach to be with Sasha as she battled the auto-immune disease lupus. Please remember Kevin and his family in your thoughts and prayers. http://www.startribune.com/blogs/180745441.html
Interesting that I found this on a blog on the Startribune.. But I have not seen an official release yet... http://www.startribune.com/blogs/180745441.html T_Man
I hope Coach takes the rest of the year off and spends with the rest of his family and remember there beloved daughter together. At this point in time Coach and his Wife will need the support of there family. Coach, we are thinking of you.
I wonder what that ClutchFans poster who told us earlier in the thread that Rudy T didn't really have cancer and that this was all some make-believe excuse for Kevin McHale to step down as coach has to say for himself.
My deepest sympathies for the family and friends of Sasha, and I pray they will experience the all-sufficient grace that a loving heavenly Father has for them.
Unbelievably sad. He can take the rest of the season and anything else he needs, as far as I am concerned. Basketball is stupidly trivial compared to these emotions.
RIP Saha, as per coaching, my take is that he should rush to coaching...the best way too heal is to immerse into job and something creative and avoid thinking too much
Whoa, my condolences to the McHale family. Chin up coach! My friend's hubby was recently diagnosed with lupus. I had no idea what this was, I heard it has no cure
Soooo sad. My prayers and thoughts are with coach McHale. I'm sure basketball is the furthest thing from his mind and it should be.
