Of course Harden had something to do with it, likely Dwight too.

I doubt a coach ever gets fired in the NBA without the star player signing off on it nowadays or making it obvious wink wink clear that they are okay with it.

i'm sure les had a lot to do with it as well, especially if we are to believe cyber's posts here. more likely mchale is just bitter that harden didn't have his back to stop les

Crazy..... Does Dwight or James ever want a real coach to make the most of their collective talents?

An amazing troll by TNT, but I would think the classiest thing McHale could have done was to decline the offer altogether.

Since I won't be watching the game, I guess I'll read about the aftermath here later.

Sorry, but McHale deserved to be fired. Don't give me any crap about a bad training camp. That's on the coaching staff. Go back and watch those early season losses. The Rockets weren't even competing. Just because JB also sucks as a head coach doesn't absolve McHale.

u guys really think if Harden didn't want McHale fired he wouldn't have told Les that? Obviously McHale feels betrayed his star players didn't have his back. If anything, Dwight and Harden should've went to Morey/Les and told them they wanted McHale to stay but instead everyone used McHale as a scapegoat for their horrible play.

Nah that was a given. Of course harden wanted him gone. He didn't even acknowledge the firing nor give his regards to Mchale. Completely obvious harden had a lot to do with it

He didn't say Harden got him fired.

He said what is already widely known, it is a players league and only the absolute elite of elite coaches can withstand a player revolt. Hell, Carlisle got fired because his players had enough.

    McHale:

What is the difficulty in preparing for them?

We beat LA in game 7. Day to prepare for GS. You walk into your coaching staff, we're all excited. Any ideas? All the coaches start looking around. There's nothing you can really do. You take away one thing, they hit you with another. Pick your poison. It's hard to prepare. It's hard to get a rhythm against them.

Key to Curry is knowing where he's at. James gets detached. Trevor has to be on the outside. James gotta know where he is. You're giving Steph those shots, they're layups.
