He said in the rotation, not team, IIRC.

Morey doesn't even know the plan himself.

Since it looks like Dwight has his sight now on the Lakers. I say we just keep out young core and build around that. At this point, at best we'll get Bynum. He is just another injury prone big man.

Are the Rockets the youngest team in the NBA if they don't make any moves?

Which of the 3 rookies will get more clock and which ONE plays the best defense?

McHale, like all coaches, would rather have some vets and have more worries than excitement (for good reasons) about having too much youth. I guess he feels a bit more comfortable now that Courtney Fortson isn't on top of the depth chart at PG.

Keep in mind it would be creating unnecessary distractions for his players for McHale to say that he expected some or most of these guys to be traded before a trade was set up to be done. He can't publicly discuss the chances of trading for Howard even if he wanted to. His best move is to act as if the rookies will be here, and if they are his comments are accurate. I don't think it indicates anything as to how likely any of them will be traded or not though. Remember the Knicks were going to match up to 1 billion dollars on Lin a week ago and now he is a Rocket. Things can change fast and not discussing potential future trades that may never happen is generally a good idea.

By "4 or 5 young guys" he obviously meant the rooks. The guys who haven't experienced an NBA game yet.

It seems strange that Morey wouldn't consult with McHale on possible trades. I've often wondered how Morey decides on what players to go after in trades and how they decide what players to select on draft night. I don't really think of Morey as a basketball man in the way that McHale or many GM's are. Did Morey ever play or coach basketball? Building a team requires parts that fit together. Do we have a group of scouts that provide Morey with their opinions? It seems McHale would be a valuable resource for Morey to use in making some personnel decisions.

I was about ready to guess this. Thanks for confirming. In the rotation, that means he likes what he sees, and also probably a little bit of he has no choice tossed in.

Of course, the is only accurate at the moment, we can suppose.

after watching T-Jones play so efficiently in SL, i would add him to the "don't give him up unless necessary" list. T-Jones was so efficient out there, and he did well on the boards. lamb, dmo, t jones could all become really really good players.
