Listening to KFAN, MN Sports Radio and they are discussing the possibility. It's all speculation but curious what the bball minds of Clutchfans think.
I guess they didn't learn their lesson their first go around with him as President of BBallOps. They have a good thing going over there, hopefully they don't screw it up.
Makes sense. If I were him I'd chill for the rest of the season regardless and reassess in the offseason.
that would actually be pretty neat if mchale landed in minnesota. hopefully he can do a better job than rick adelman.
The team has more talent than the team Adelman had. Karl Anthony-Townes is a very intriguing big man and is the type of player that McHale would probably like to coach. McHale did some terrible things last stint with the T-Wolves but also brought in the biggest star the Wolves have had and also was with the team when they had their greatest success.
This is all speculation so no actual evidence that McHale would go back to the T-Wolves. The Wolves are clawing their way back to getting fan attention in Minnesota, some games last year there were less than 5K people in Target Center. Getting McHale back to his home state to coach a promising big man like Karl Anthony Townes might be the type of move to pump up ticket sales. It seemed to work with bringing KG back.
McHale may not get you were you want to end up, but he can right a ship. I wouldn't be afraid to hire him, but you have to be okay firing him when you want that chip. These Rockets have too much talent to be losing like they did. Period.
Yep. I think it's important to remember that McHale was originally brought in before Harden and Howard got here. He was supposed to be mentoring a young team and (IMO) focus on recruiting Dwight and Love.
