Probably insinuating that the death of a very young individual is a bigger tragedy than the death of an old individual. People are usually more prepared for the death of an elderly than the death of a young adult, so I guess in this case it's "better" in the sense that McHale's relative wasn't robbed of the opportunity of living a long and fulfilled life. Hope everything else is okay with him though. McHale is a great guy.
My condolences to the McHale Family I remember watching Kevin McHale's HOF induction speech and when he thanked his mother, they showed her in the audience and she had a very warm smile. They are obviously a very close family.
I don't think that is necessary. I feel sad for Mchale that his mother has died, but it's not the same as losing a child who was just starting her life. I wish him the best, it has been a hard year for him.
Dudes got such an infectious personality, loved his commentary/when he was on the megaallstar drafting all the celtic legends. Hope hes alright.
Wow, very unfortunate. I can feel only sympathy for McHale and his family. To suffer such tremendous loss in any span of time is difficult, that it happened in such a short span of time must be truly crushing for anyone to bear. I wish the best to McHale and his family, and hope that they find whatever solace they can in the joy and happiness that his daughter and mother brought into their lives. While I've had my fair share of criticisms of McHale as a coach, I've never had any doubt as to his worth as a human being. Those that have spoken of him have said nothing but kind words in regards to the man's character, kindness and competitive spirit. My deepest condolences to the McHale family, and may you find the solace that you need in the warm embrace of friends and family.
