I really like Kevin McHale and I just feel tonight's game shows the level of genius he has that this franchise has been lacking since Don Chaeney coached the Rockets. Well, now we have an ever better coach than Don Chaeney (finally!) and that's Kevin McHale. I'm pleased with how he's handled these last four years as a coach and the players respect him and the league respects him. Doc Rivers just got his ass handed to him in this series so far.

Do you all feel that McHale should be given an extention and is he the greatest coach in Rockets history since Don Chaney or Del Harris?

Thanks and have a great night! :)

This gave me a good laugh.
I don't mind him, but am in no position to judge him.
But given the hatred the past few days in particular, this gave me a good laugh.
I just hope we win the next games.

Per Woj: McHale given lifetime appointment as Rockets head coach after last game. Clippers players and LeBron looking for ways to break contract to play for Rockets in Game 6.

When I see the title of this thread, why do I see it written in the past tense? Weird

Just wondering what this team would look like under Mchale coaching with Hakeem in his prime, and a trio of clutch shooters from those championship years. If RudyT had inherited the sharp shooting of Corey Brewer and Josh Smith, and D12 unstoppable post game, just how much more lovable RudyT could be as a head coach?

McHale could be the greatest player coach of all time. If only he suited up. ;)
