There were quite a few fans and even some websites that were saying Martin's value was as an expiring contract. Not a lot of appreciation for his game.

Before all the trades we could field the all flop team: PF: Scola SG: Martin PG: Lowry SF: Battier C: Maybe chuck hayes?
Good night -- he's 7-11 and 5-7 from three-point range for 22 points in his first 14 minutes of action tonight.
Remember when Yao's big 7 foot behind would sit there and take charges? Man I always cringed when that happened. Although a Charge is not a flop I guess.
My goodness, and 7 rebounds and a block in 13 minutes for Hasheem Thabeet. Geez, where would the Thunders be without ex-Rockets players performing for them?
Kevin Martin 30min, 47% FG%, 50% 3pt%, and that's before tonights 27pts in 22mins and going 6-10 from 3 and 9-16 overall. Perhaps we got another player who performed due to the system he was in ... BTW, Kevin Marting or Jamal Crawford for 6MotY so far ...
Martin is in a great situation where his greatest asset (scoring) is maximised. He won the jackpot. Imagine his numbers if he was the starting SG on those SSOL Suns when Nash was running the show.
