Who do you consider a superstar and that's available?

The main reason we need a 'real star'
is not for their ability with the ball
    but
for their ability with the REFS

Without a star on your team . . .if their is a call that is questionable
it almost always goes against you

Our team would be significantly better if we put Lowry back on the bench and gave Drogic free reigns to the team. Being Steve Nash's backup for a few years and the fact that Nash thinks Drogic can be great tells me enough.

Martin does everything quietly. He would be a good cat burglar.

The one thing I thought the Rockets did well at the trade deadline was not trading Martin. He'll be an excellent number two option if the team can land a number one option over the summer. With a player like him in place, you don't just scap it and start over. The team has some of the pieces it will need to become a contender again. The smart way to rebuild is to hold on to those and build around them, not to simplistically unload everything in hope of getting one great draft pick, then beating the odds and turning it into a franchise player and building around him, as some on here believe. That's the unintelligent way to build a team. I think a contender is built through a combination of moves that acquire the necessary components (see Lakers), and some luck. Martin is a key piece of that.

Kevin is absolutely great at what he does: SCORING. However, he is as one-dimensional as Chuck Hayes. Because you need more points than the other team to win, scorers in this league get the most attention. Don't confuse Kevin's scoring ability with all-star level talent. I think by now we all now that he is what he is, a phenomenal scorer.

We need a top-tier defensive center. Our offense is one of the best in the NBA, in large part because of Martin.

We said the same thing when Brooks was backing-up Alston.

We said the same thing when Lowry was backing-up Brooks.

Now you're saying the same thing with Dragic backing-up Lowry, even though Lowry is beasting it up?

Wow, the illogical meter is at it's breaking point.

Three consecutive 30-point games proves a heap. I have a feeling this streak will last for another 3 or so games if he continues to work like he did against Cleveland, NJ and New Orleans on both ends of the floor. He's our guy, Spurs have Timmy, Pacers have Granger, we have Martin.

The only reason it gets perceived as 'quietly done' is because his defense doesn't stand out or is at times non existent. If K-Mart played above average defense, plus that with his supreme scoring threats, he my friend would be an all-star.
