Good Luck Kevin, We know that Buddy Ryan was wrong for slapping you. http://www.giants.com/team/coach.asp?coach_id=5 Kevin Gilbride is in his first full season as the Giants’ offensive coordinator after serving the previous three years as the team’s quarterbacks coach.. Gilbride entered the NFL as the quarterbacks coach of the Houston Oilers in 1989. He was promoted to offensive coordinator from 1990-93 and then to assistant head coach/offense in 1994. The Oilers ranked first in the NFL in passing yards in 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1993. Houston also ranked first in the league in total offense in 1990, second in 1991, third in 1992 and second in 1993.
i don't understand why he deserves an appreciation thread. it's not like he didn't pay child support, punch a fan in the stands, failed to pay child support, or have any outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Dear Kevin, I would have appreciated you more if you incorporated a tight end, fullback, or some other sort of goal line package into your offense to help run clock in Buffalo. That is all.
why must you hate on every houston legend? Kevin you have removed the curse of buffalo by redeeming yourself by helping others achieve. Kevin is like Shep helping Kyle-Lee in Above the Rim. He's doing that for Eli. Regulate.
don't forget allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in a nightclub, messing around with a former broadcaster/HOF's daughter, or had Justin Timberlake bust a J in your face...
Nah... he was supposed to be at the opening of the Cancer Center in Lake Jackson in 1993 or so.. he stood up a waiting crowd of about 200 people, including my mom (a cancer patient) and myself. A good friend, who was a nurse at the new center, said they never heard from him, a publicist or anyone as to why he never showed. Plus, he had no running game or a tight end. Ryan needed to slap that ill smirk of smugness off his face - shoulda yapped him harder. No thanks, tinman, stick to Mad Max or other felons that actually won a title in this town called Houston. You front runner. Go Chargers. hee, hee
Did he die? It just seems random to do a appreciation thread for Kevin Gilbride. But I could be wrong and I haven't checked out espn or the net for some news on Kevin. If so my bad.
in NFC championship game, i believe he's the last active coach/player from the buffalo debacle on the oilers side.
Great work Kevin. You've held Dallas to 17 points and Green Bay to 20 points on consecutive weekends on the road in the playoffs. Excellent coaching...
Same with me, but we were sitting in the extreme nosebleed section of the dome. Didn't know anything had happened until we got in the car and the listened to the post game show on the radio.
Kevin Gilbride, Sent to the future from the devestation of Buffalo to save the Giants THE SARAH CONNOR OF THE NFL OFFENSIVE COORDINATORS!! CONGRATS!! This one was for Warren Moon!
