And apparently it might turn into a four-team sign and tradefest with Boston/Kemba and Charlotte/Rozier in the mix too. No clue how that one works out.

You know they offered him a five year supermax, right?

Say whatever you want about the Nets, but their GM Sean Marks has done an incredible job rehabbing the franchise after the Boston trade debacle. I have nothing but respect for a man willing to take on that pile of stinking crap and do this amazing turnaround.

Kyrie, Durant, and Jordan is pretty damn nice trio. Brooklyn is legitimate contender in the East now when Durant comes back healthy.

Overall, a moment to rejoice in the NBA. The "Hamptons 5" Warriors are no more. That's huge win for everyone in the West.

Not sure that Jordan is still really relevant, but no doubt this is one hell of a rebuild.

    Good point.

However, next to a healthy Durant and Kyrie -- the best finisher at the basket in the NBA -- I think Jordan is going to get a lot of easy buckets just like "Lob City" era.

Sometimes, it's not about getting the biggest name, but the right fit.

Jordan brings rebounding and great low post defense, which is going to help hide Kyrie's inability to stay in front of his man on defense. Sure, Jordan may not be an elite center, but he's a great hedge against Embiid, Lopez, Gasol in the East playoffs.

Overall, the Nets fanbase should be jumping from joy right now because of what their GM just pulled off.

Glad a pathetic GM like Dolan is with the knicks...we can be guaranteed a huge franchise will be gimped as long as he's at the helm.

Am I crazy or does it actually matter that much?

He's not even going to play next year and then you're gonna get post-Achilles Durant.

I don't think the Raptors (with Kawhi) or Bucks are gonna be too scared of the Nets next year.

Except it is a duo with KD coming back from a career threatening injury.

This is exactly right. Jarrett Allen, as much as I love him, got completely abused by Embiib in the playoffs. Jordan will be a big help there.

Kyrie is an upgrade over DLo, and Jordan is an upgrade over Ed Davis. So while the Raptors and Bucks may not be too scared of the Nets next year, the Nets did make improvements that could move them to the top half of the playoff bracket...then add KD the next year and they will be legit contenders.

So apparently Durant wanted a close relationship with Curry - didn't happen - and also wanted him and Irving to sign with the Knicks, while Irving wanted the Nets. I feel bad for the guy, he really is trying hard but ends up following Kyrie after all. He seems like a child who wants approval and never got it.
