Well he is saying there Is no concentration for a whole shot clock on our part on defense. Initially starts good and sucks for the rest of the 22 seconds remaining.so it’s only good for 2 seconds and then there is no communication on and especially off the ball. No one rotates on help defense and to much ball watching
It’s a compliment. Ball movement is the answer to any defense, I don’t care if it’s that 08 Celtics or the 2012 Heat (the two best defenses I have ever seen). If you force enough rotations, you’re more likely to find an opening.
When he was on the book of basketball podcast the other day Kerr had positive things to say about our switching defense in our playoff matchups.
Post them or it didn't happen. I literally cannot imagine Steven Kerr saying anything nice about the Rockets at all. He's been a dick to us since he started coaching in the league. I hate him for it.
I have never heard Steve Kerr say anything really thought provoking or enlightening. I am sure he has, but I constantly hear his state the obvious but with an arrogant sanctimonious tone. Every single defense in the league gets worse with more ball movement if executed well. The switching scheme works well with the right personnel. It worked really well when we had Ariza and Moute and Paul. It requires players that can guard a variety of positions for a short period of time.
What he is is saying is that if you have a team of NBA All-Stars you can beat the Rockets defense by sharing the basketball and moving it around.
