"We are fans because of what they do on the court." Guess the fan base doesn't hurt (decrease) when player is charged for domestic violence or assault off the court. ------------------ [This message has been edited by wizard (edited April 07, 2001).]
The previous, similar post concerned someone's seeing KT downtown after a game, speaking to him (Nice game! sort of thing) and being ignored. Now, I don't think that athletes or celebrities have the obligation to speak to or even acknowledge fans in public, but I certainly perfer hearing that our guys are nice and friendly in public rather than not. Contrast this story to the one posted a month or so ago about Steve, who was at the Galleria. According to the post, Steve was very friendly and accomodating to the (many) people who approached him at Nieman's while he was shopping. Again, I don't feel that players need to be this way, but I greatly prefer hearing that they are. I don't know, I guess I think it's just not that much to ask for KT for example to nod and say Thanks when a fan tells him he played a good game.
