Yes, going to the police and filing charges is probably a "scary" thing -- but I would say that it is part of being a responsible adult and citizen.

Think about this -- Man rapes/assaults woman; woman waits 30 years to press charges. How many assaults has the man been able to make in that time, because the woman failed to press charges in a timely fashion?

 

Credible, being the ones made by people that knew Kavanaugh, were in the same social circles and went to school with Kavanaugh.

In other words, at least three of the accusers.

You can choose to not believe the three women, and that is fine but they have a level of credibility.

Not credible would be the one leaked by Kavanaugh's good buddy Ed Whelan and CRC.

 

If they want to go after Senator Feinstein, by all means they should. However it doesn't change what did or did not happen to those three women and it does not change that Kavanaugh lied to the Senate Judiciary committee and lied when he was appointed as a federal judge.

His credibility is already established. He really did not need to lie either, but I suspect it is a tough habit to break.

 

There is literally no lie that Democrat leftists will not tell, and no slander or smear that is too despicable or disgusting for them to commit. If there was even a sliver of doubt about that before this episode, you people have eradicated that doubt a million times over during this episode.

If you want to take the high ground on "lying", then perhaps should should nominate someone other than Donald Trump and in this specific case, perhaps you should have put forward a candidate for the Supreme Court that hasn't already been caught lying on numerous points while under oath, going all the way back to 2005.

Until that point, you really cannot take the high ground at all.

McConnell then went and REVOKED the 2003 amendment that EXCLUDED Supreme Court justices.

So technically Air Langhi is correct as it did not apply to SCOTUS.

It's not fair to point this out without referencing the staggering and completely unprecedented amount of judicial obstruction the republicans threw at Obama.

 

First, I don't know what you mean by "you people" as I am not a democrat and have voted republican more often than not until the last 5 years. I am not really happy with either party.

As far as "digging". It is a Supreme Court nomination and it really isn't "digging" when three different women that were known to be around Kavanaugh claim he sexually assaulted them. Further, the President still refuses to turn over thousands of pages of documents relating to Kavanaugh. Did you notice this Gorsuch issue went fairly straight forward? Because he was clean.

With Kavanaugh he was less than forthcoming to the Senate. Then the documents produced showed that he lied under oath to congress when he was being interviewed and approved to be a federal judge and then on the court of appeals. Now, he lied numerous times to the judiciary committee under oath.

Even with all that, the Republicans could have confirmed him down a party vote, and 3-4 Republicans said they wanted a further investigation.

We will see how all this plays out but Kavanaugh has been less than candid and we deserve better than that on the Supreme Court.
