    Okay, anybody vs. Kelly Cato.

Did anyone here that saw Kelly in college also get to see Ken Johnson this year? If so, what are the good comparisons at this stage of development.

Just from digging up college info it looks as if they both had great blocking skills, ncaa births, above average rebounding, etc. while both suffered offensively.

As a sidenote, Ken Johnson actually played ball in high school, whereas Kelly just figured that it'd be a cheap way to go to college... oh yeah and to retire at the age of 26.

Ken is light... but what would you guys think about him in a Center by committee sort of situation w/ Dream and Collier until he beefed up? Would he offer more than Cato?

I saw Ken Johnson play in the Easter sub-regional here in Greensboro when his team lost to Utah State.

Granted, it's only one game viewed from the mezzanine but I wasn't at all impressed. He got a few points, a few rebounds, and a few blocks but he acted profoundly Cato-esque.

His team was being eliminted from NCAA tournament in his senior year and he didn't have any fire at all.

I was much more impressed with Dan Gadzuric of UCLA who is about the same size and does EVERYTHING better than Ken Johnson except block shots. Gadzuric has a nice offensive game, will rebound, and is a competitor.
