Probably not, but interesting to consider the history between these two:

I bet Coach Sampson will be there when the Rockets meet with Eric Gordon, offering him a summer league spot for Eric's younger brother, Zoric, and pummel him with some unethical but legal recruiting pitches.

The sad part is, we really dont need Eric Gordon

he is a good player, but injury prone( body already starting to break down)

why do so many people here hate OJ Mayo

We don't need Eric Gordon but we do need OJ Mayo?

    Ehhhhhhh:confused:

We need talent upgrades anywhere we can get em. Gordon could easily be an All-Star.

That's what the whole S&T thing is about. Step 1, though, you gotta get Gordon to agree to come to your team. Then you work out a way to get NOLA not to match. Maybe it's all for nothing, but at least worth a try (nothing will be lost if NOLA says no).

Think about it: If NOLA has to decide between paying Gordon the max (4 years, $58 mil as reported) and losing him for nothing, they may well match. If, however, the decision is paying Gordon the max and getting Kevin Martin plus, say, Lamb and Motiejunas for him. It's a different question. The answer may be "we'll still match" but the calculation is different.

Wow, #7 makes an interesting leftfield deduction.

Gordon + Rivers? No, this is set up for NOLA to do an SnT. Martin on an expiring to gradual Rivers into NBA? Maybe.

Reality 101 (at least IMHO) is that there is 0% chance OJ comes here instead of the (reported) suitors lining up for him.

True.. Getting him would be a risky move. He has potential, but we've seen enough injuries
