I never thought a day would come when I would actually miss Kevin McHale.

If Les and Morey believe in Lin, then my guess there will be a new coaching staff sooner or later.

If not then he is probably just another trade asset since Harden has been acquired to be the top dog combo guard.

Lin/others to Lakers for Gasol/others might make a lot of sense...
    Win win for both sides

Agree. If they think Lin doesn't fit, ship him out. But they'd be crazy because Lin is still playing great defense and doing everything except having a high FG%.

i dont know what the hell is going on anymore but one thing that's certain is this.. the Rockets stoled a very good pg from NY and a very good sg from OKC. but what they have now is an overpaid mediocre sg in Lin and and an overpaid mediocre pg in Harden. wtf happened?

Look back at the play. Parsons was not open.

That is not open when the ball is across the court and that defender literally followed Parsons across the court and marked him. That's not open. If someone drives in and sucks Bosh into the paint...maybe he will become open...then again you have how many seconds left on the clock there?

Well if they want to use him as a trade asset surely they'll want to increase his value by letting him play a little?

If it is indeed true that McHale wants Harden to play PG, Lin will have no role on this team. He is at best a below average 3-pt shooter. He creates when he drives to the basket.

Yup. If they want that as the long term future of the team, then they should play Lin as primary playmaker for the next few months to push up his value and then trade him.

Then they can get a Chalmers type of PG who will cost less and have the cap space to get a better PF along with another Max contract player.

When is lebron is guarding you .. You look to pass the ball. You swing out to lin who will likely give it to parson for the shot. The reason why there was only 2 sec is because he took so long to make his move.

Yes please trade him to the lakers. He'll be just fine with D'antoni playing behind Nash.

Not necessarily if Lakers really want Lin to backup Nash and get rid of Pau. MDA knows Lin well.

Lin needs to realize he had all the leverage over Sampson and Mchale. We are not talking about Phil Jackson here.
He has brought new fan base to the rockets. He is now one of the crucial links between NBA and the Asian market. He is one of the most popular players in the league. I know it wouldn't be Lin's style but he can certainly go about this the right way. Honestly what is Mchale and Sampson gonna do? Bench him? Dare them.
This system is not working for him. His confidence is plummeting with every game. Your assistant coach says TD is a better match up against a back up ph on the worst team in the league. If Lin decides to just follow orders like a good Christian boy, he will be out of the league in three years. Wake up Lin. You are not "sinning" by standing up for yourself and being assertive. God helps those who help themselves!
