Why does everyone like Dmo that much ? He can't play defense, can't rebound has too many turnovers and looks lost in Offence and isn't able to hit his open shots when we don't lead by 15 or in pre-season....
Every time Sampson has stepped up, he has changed the rotation up. I like that he does that. However, DMo still is not ready to play.
The Warriors game was not much different from the Blazers as far as how we played which means - iso ball, no plays run, not getting Dwight involved + we didn't attack Curry at all when he was in foul trouble. I'm not saying this is on Sampson but we sure didn't win it because of him. A couple of balls for us went in that normally don't go and for them a lot of balls went in and out, so it was just our night
couple things... this is a completely different game if they have Iggy. second, i went to IU, so naturally I despise Sampson for destroying our program, but the dude can coach basketball.
Sampson is functioning within the system that the entire coaching staff has created. Just like McHale. Unless the coaching staff is run by some egotistical b*stard (D'Antonio, JVG, Adelman) coaching in today's NBA is a group effort. I personally would not expect much difference between any of the Rockets coaches acting as the focal point in games. However, none of McHale's assistants will ever garner the respect among players McHale possesses. That is why he is the Head Coach.
Good lord is Sampson bad. People Need to stop b****ing about mchale after watching sampsons coaching.
You or I don't know what he can really do if he doesn't get consistent playing time. I think he has shown that he deserves it.
The team really took off last year when Mchale returned, hopefully it will be the same result this year.
