Keenum has looked great under his scheme.

    Too bad the defense blows.

Speaking of Case, both defensive guys I talked about in my previous post talked about how their were rumblings in camp that Case was the best qb we had. LOL

Mario played all of 5 games as an OLB. He got injured and then went to Buffalo where they'd just switched back to a 4-3. That's too small of a sample size to say whether he truly "succeeded" as an OLB.

AJ was on the radio this morning saying the play calling was entirely different. That initially they told him it was going to be, and he didn't believe it...but when he got the script for the first 15 plays he said, "whoa..they were serious."

He said he was told they were going to run him deep more..and that one of the coordinators told him the game plan would get him 3 TD's. He said he just laughed at that at the time...but he was right.

If that was the case, then like I said, it's qb personnel.

Expect this week to feature more intermediate routes.

I have no doubt in the world they're willing to open the playbook up more for Keenum than they ever were for Schaub.

That's a pretty sad statement given that one of those two is playing his first few games in the NFL.

Watched the game. Kid is electric

Scans the field. Steps in to pressure.

Will destroy the blitz in time. Love him run on 2 deep safety look.

I heard some reporter on the radio a few weeks ago saying the same thing. Keenum was the one getting all the 'oohs' and 'aahs' from the reporters/other players during training camp. And that he outplayed both Schaub and Yates by a wide margin.

AJ also said on the radio this morning that you'd never know Keenum was a rookie. That he was so loose in the huddle and was good at keeping the team loose.

I'm not trying to name drop, but Sharp/Mercy straight up said Schaub " sucked". Antonio Smith whose very vocal in the lockeroom was notably a Case supporter. To the point it was awkward. There was noticeable tension in the lockeroom. After the second straight loss, Schaub started to lose the respect of the Texans defense. Guys were "tired" of taking the field on defense when the offense was giving up 7 points constantly. The time line is correlation of the team meeting.

Kubes is a loyal guy. A big reason why the players love him. The Texans present "job security".

McClain's foot has been in "bad shape" all season. It makes sense as he was very good in slot coverage before his injury. Expect him to be back to normal next year.

well then why are yo giving kubiak such a pass for failing to make a move sooner??? part of the reason many of us are saying he is a poor head coach is that he remains far too loyal to personnel, regardless of their performance.

marciano, bush, and now schaub... at some point it falls on the coach's shoulders. this is a performance-based profession.

Look it's tough, for the coaches to dump a guy after two losses. Ecspecially as talanted as the Texans are. You don't bench a Schaub for a guy that's unproven using "live bullets". The defense took notice last year. They thought as Sharp explained it, "a kid who has it". It's almost like Schaub experienced an "Any Given Sunday". Super talented unknown who was surplanted by a proven vet. Case improved over the off season so much, in camp he began "torching the Texans 1st team D".

Kubiak is big on trust. Once you earn it your "IN".

Off topic, Kubiak wanted to keep Glover. Smith said no. I was told that Quin not Cushing was the heart of that defense.

The veteran offensive players, AJ/Foster/OD/Duane Brown/Meyers/ were large Schaub supporters. There was a divide forming in the locker room basically because half the team thought Schaub was not Super Bowl caliber. This thought brewed in last years playoffs, beginning of camp when Schaub got outplayed by both backups. .

    danthony thomas??

he's absolutely a luxury pick. we are in no position to do that.

imo, we need to add more speed to our offense & we need a legit punt returner.

    sammy watkins or marquise lee

either one of those will form a top tier wr group with aj and nuk, and both are A+ punt returners. not to mention they will stretch the field with their blazing speed.
