July 1 meeting for Rockets: Gerald Green

Some people seem to expect miracles. If miracles are possible, Daryl will make it happen. However some people need to temper their expectations because we are very hamstrung in making trades or free agent signings.

Los Angeles is a Mecca for free agency so that is why the Rockets brass will be there. Gerald Green is one of the only players that really gives a damn about having his hometown team meet with him the night of free agency. He is about as proud of his home city as anyone on the planet. His dumps are shaped like Lil B he is so Houston proud.

 

Especially if Bima's follow on tweet is true.

I have a difficult times thinking about a team giving up more than the minimum for Gerald, still, dumb teams are out there so, you never know. Hopefully he takes the minimum and stays home, otherwise good luck to him, i agree with Bima.

If anyone is gonna take a hometown discount, it's GG, right? The dude is as Houston as it gets. Although, never underestimate Morley's ability to screw this thing up. Darren is a horrible GM.

 

Gerald isn’t going anywhere. We gave this man a job when he was on the couch. If there’s any player that will give a hometown discount it’s him. Take this vet min GG and bring a chip home to Houston!

 

Morey isn’t street enough..... but if I were Tilman I would drive to Gerald Green’s house with a brand new F-350 with a tow package.... have Gerald come out to check out the truck, tell him to open the hard cover back and expose $1,000,000 neatly stacked in the back. He would take the truck and the money and sign for the minimum.... he is just like that. **** he would probably keep storing the money in the back paying with a handful of 100’s when he hits Whataburger at midnight.

 

Chase the bag Gerald, I suspect he lands on some team notorious for "Paying the Chandler Parsons" instead of "Finding the Chandler Parsons", IE: The Knicks.

Not Gerald specific but ... If I'm honest, it sucks this roster got really expensive really fast. And it's not even a young roster, it's an old one. Guys pushing 32/33 AND looking to get paid.
