http://www.nba.com/pelicans/news/jrue-holiday-injury-update NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that Jrue Holiday has been diagnosed with a stress fracture in his right tibia. He is out indefinitely.
Who?! LOL I'm kidding, he looked pretty good in his handful of starts last season. What about Austin Rivers, this guy was supposed to be their future PG/SG, now he's been delegated to a benchwarmer role.
i just know hes the next guy in line and averaged 7 pts , 3 assists in 15 minutes so now that his usage rates are going to be that of a starters im sure he'll plug in nicely
geez... will someone in the NBA please drink a freaking glass of milk every once in awhile. Actually though I dont know that this injury will really be the deciding factor in the Pelle's going full tank mode. I think Reke Evans has really improved this year, and will probably a good opportunity here to prove himself.
You probably should. JaVale McGee has this same injury (I think) and he's been out since the start of the season. Not all injuries / people are the same, granted, but still.
I remember seeing Brian Roberts play against the Rockets. The commentators were saying how he's 4 year college player and so was a very experienced rookie, I hope he'll step up in Holiday's absence.
I dropped Marvin Williams and his mask for Roberts... his production in limited minutes has been more than solid, so hoping for extrapolation there. I rode Gerald through his slump and am glad I did. Debating over whether I want James Johnson back or not -- guess I'll wait until after tonight's game to decide.
Man, at this rate, the NBA may have no choice but to make Jeremy Lin an Allstar as long as he stays healthy (knock on wood). Been a tough year for injuries.
