Fun fact: Since Josh Smith went to the bench (January 3 vs the Miami Heat), he's made 70 of 147 FGA, for a shooting percentage of 47.6%, and 11 of 33 three point attempts, for 33.3%. Out of players on the Rockets that score at least 10 ppg (not counting terrence jones who only played 1 game), his overall FG% is good for 4th best after Dwight, DMo, and Harden.

Let's hope. The biggest worry will still be match-up issues with the Warriors and/or the Clippers. Otherwise, I think the Rockets can be in most games with the other playoff bound teams.

He still does dumb AAU stuff. For example, jumping in the air to pass the basketball. Taking 3 pointers from spots on the floor where he shoots a low percentage. Missing assignments on defense, doesn't switch when required.

This is also not accounting for the very solid defense he's played for us. The pros have far outweighed the cons with the Josh Smith signing, I would say.

That's good. But it doesn't really say much. We all know how Beverley and Ariza is struggling at shooting. Brewer has never been a high percentage shooter in his career.

The only guy I would expect to be shooting better than Smith would be Jason Terry. I guess he just doesn't score enough to qualify. It just tells you how bad our team is shooting lately.

his adjusted fg% is over 50% which i think if you had asked anyone a month ago would have said it would be straight up impossible. if he could get his ft% to 60% it wouldn't be bad for a 6th man kind of thing, and really good for bench production.

He stays on his feet when playing man-to-man defense and contests almost every shot. He's also been asked to do a lot of different things over the past decade in the NBA and it shows -- he's able to do a variety of things well, like trap and double. You win some, you lose some.

During that ridiculous travel the other night you could tell it was a result of him wanting to jump pass but at the same time giving it his all trying not to jump. Lol.

He is one of those guys that makes a good pass occasionally and everyone goes, hey that guy has good vision, ignoring all the easy turnovers trying to make passes that are not there.

He is just not a good playmaker - not someone you can rely on to make a good decision.
