Getting into the top 8 would be nice... anything outside of that really wont be much of an improvement, imo.

Beal would be great imho. I think

Scola, Martin, Lowry, Dalembert, 14th to Portland for 6th, 11th, Nolan Smith

Don't it take two to trade?

The criticism only further solidifies Houston's r****dation.

I'm only talking #'s 10 and 11 picks. Not the top picks of the two teams.

While I've always felt moving up in the past 2 years were unlikely, this year I am willing to bet money that the Rockets either move up in the draft, or use at least one of their 1st rounders in a trade for a top player. There are just way too many factors for them NOT to trade up.

    OK, but still...

Why do folks go nuts about "here we go again", when you need another team to AGREE to a trade...

Unless I'm missing the point on the "here we go again" comments...

I completely agree - I always read Gators posts. Don't agree with him often, but his opinions are always well reasoned and thought out. He gets me thinking and questioning my own opinions.

First of all, NO will try their best to keep Eric Gordon, even with high price. I doubt any team will offer him more than 12-13 million a year. Unless He personally wants to join another team like Indiana Pacers, and that will be a different case. I do agree that NO does not need Kyle Lowry desperately.
However, on the other hand, Portland Organization states already that they do not want to rebuild through the draft assuming they get 6th and 11th pick in the draft. They will over pay Batum to keep him and that's why they traded G-Wallace at the first place. Right now, Lowry's contract is so critical to them cause they can get a high quality PG(a lot better than Ramond Felton) with small contract and keep their money on Batum extension and Free agency.:)

don't see how we can develop two 1st round picks unless we stash one overseas or we trade away players to open up playing time

He's never set foot in the jewelry store .... He's been shopping at Target (mid first) and the flea market (second) .... He's found better deals at the latter.

Knowing Murray, he would move up to draft Zeller at 10 or 11. A very safe pick.

Back injuires dont go away - they always come back and it just keeps getting worse. Id only be willing to trade him on if we dont have to take on Hedo as well.

How many times did it take you to get that? lol. I've ran that thing about 50 times and we've always gotten 14th.
