Giving up two picks for one in a deep draft?? Bad timing.

No it isn't...we have enough young players.....

    We don't need 2 more....they won't get playing time.

We have Morris, Parsons, PPat, D-mo, Llull...all will need time to develop on the floor.

The Rockets need to pick the guys they want to develop and move the ones they do not for future considerations.

D-Mo might not come over next year. Llull almost certainly will not.
We also don't know what will happen as far as trades are concerned. If we ship out half the team for Howard, adding depth in a deep draft doesn't sound too bad an idea.

The point still stands, we are young enough.......unless we are going to go UBER young.

We need some veterans that can still play the game.

Time to debunk the no PT myth. Guess who would have gotten playing time if they had deserved it?
    M Morris
    T-Will
    Flynn
    Thabeet
Because guess what? We needed all of them last season! Everyone of them would have been on the court if they were ready. Parsons was ready.
This has nothing to do about having the PT. It has everything to do about deserving PT.
Also, Llull should be an after thought, Patterson and Parsons are already in and D-Mo will be ready whenever he decides to come over.

They should be trying to get more picks. Drafts like this don't come along that often. Take advantage while you can.

Camby, Boykins, whatever vet(s) come over through trades. OKC went uber young. Indiana went uber young. All i have been hearing from Clutchfans for the past 3 seasons is "we need to tank! "we need to rebuild" "blah blah blah" Well now is the time to do that and not have to wait for thr results because we still have a good team.

I think drafts a success if we somehow end up with Drummond and Rivers

Givony probably just re-posting his own messages about Houston from year to year. Nothing has changed

We are young, but most of our players aren't fantastic or highly coveted.

We should actually do the opposite. Trade our first round picks for multiple 2nd round picks. We seem to draft better there.

The media reporting that Daryl wants to move up is our version of Groundhog Day.

As long as it's Martin, Lowry, Dally, Morris, Bud going and no picks involved, i'm all for it.

Morris right now has a more highly evolved offensive game than Patterson will ever have. With that being said, he is expendable for a major upgrade.
