    Press release...

    Jon Brockman Medical Update

Rockets forward Jon Brockman suffered an injury to his right eye during a training session on Monday, September 10th. He was evaluated by team doctors in Houston and was hospitalized at Memorial Hermann—Texas Medical Center for treatment and observation. His injury did not require surgery and he was subsequently released from the hospital today. He will continue to be monitored by his physicians daily and no timetable has been set for his return to basketball activities at this time.

any idea if his vision is affected?

from a basketball perspective i don't think it affects the rockets taht much..doubt he would have earned many minutes...but i hope his vision is ok and wish him a fast recovery

Don't know if his vision is impacted, but if he had to go to Memorial Hermann, they likely feared it was more than just a poke in the eye.

Hope he can recover. Any injuries to the eyes are the worst.

I didn't know he was still a aprt of our roster tho.

Damn, Morey is cold. He released Brockman while he was still in the hospital.

Hope he will be fine, regardless of whether he makes the team. Eye injuries can be bad.

Bad luck, the one time he opens his eyes, he gets injured. Hope he's ok.

I've seen fingers go into people's eye socket before when face guarding.

I heard one of those workout bands that you put under your foot and curl with slipped from under his foot and hit him in the eye.
    Is that true?

Damaged assets do not fare well in the open market.

They're like dented cans at Wal-Mart

I have a picture in my mind:

Cans on Wal-Mart shelf labeled "6'9 Power Forward" and one of the can is dented.
