Normally there's a lot of tinfoil & homerism when it comes to clutchfans commenting on national announcers (Hubie, TNT studio crew, etc). Tonight was not the case. Jon Barry put on one of the most lopsided color jobs I've ever heard. When the Rockets completed their miraculous comeback (with ~1 minute left in the game), he was saying things like "this is unbelievable." The tone of his voice was like a guy saying "this is unbelievable" when his mom gets run over by a train... full of Rockets players. On the bright side, his weird anti-Rockets screeds and absolutely atrocious commentary (no, that wasn't a flagrant on Howard) made this historic game that much sweeter.
The entire game I was wondering if the commentators were Clippers fans, they kept complaining about Harden's game and how much he gets fouled. Ding ding ding, how about you stop fouling Harden and just play good defense? No matter, the rest of the team will actually start stepping up and contributing. Also Jones is playing more consistently off the bench, keep him there.
it was weird. he made it seem like it was really no big deal. just another typical 19 point comeback in a closeout game in the playoffs.
I think the worst part was how he was advocating for the clippers about the fouls. "Oh that should be and 1" "Can't believe they didn't call that" "That's definitely flagarant"
He literally went silent when the Rockets started hitting big shots during the comeback. It was hilarious
