I'm not familiar with eggball. But I do know that football is really great - especially when it includes JJ Watt.

    Nice call.

2nd possession) 3:32: Luc MaM layup blocked
    3rd poss) 2:50: Harden missed 3P shot
4th poss) 2:35: Harden finger roll made: score 81-65
5th poss) 1:55: Joe Johnson step back missed

7th poss) 1:02: Joe Johnson missed 3P shot
    8th poss) 0:28: CP3 jump shot missed
    9th poss) 0.00: CP3 layup blocked
    4th quarter
    10th poss)10:56: Luc MaM missed 3P shot
    11th poss) 10:38: Gordon missed 3P shot
——Joe Johnson substitution—10:30 of 4th Quarter

Yes Joe Johnson was 1-3 FG’s during that time; but why is Joe Johnson responsible for Luc,
Gordon, CP3, Harden missing their shots.

Game play shows Anthony Davis and Mirotic both playing at the same time in the 3rd quarter with JJ on the court.
Tough matchup at PF. Most starting PF’s have trouble stopping Tobias Harris....Harrell has been playing
tough lately in the post. Not sure I’ve seen Gerald Green defending those guys as a PF.

Love Gerald Green; but he is a SG/SF

    So far:

    Gerald Green: 6 min, 5/5 - 12 points
    Rhyno: 8 min 3/4 9 points

Hopefully this spells the end for Joe Johnson

Gerald Green is soo much better than the corpses of JJ

Joe Johnson was a good signing if the intent was to provide another leader in the locker room (think Carlos Beltran and what he did for the Astros' young players, scouting, tips, etc.). Instead, MDA is playing him over a more deserving player and that's too bad.

Gerald Green led the team in +/- tonight too

How many open threes has Joe made since signing here? It seems like he's made least than what i can count on one hand. I'm just saying dude misses a lot of open shots.

No. Gerald Green is the one who needs to get minutes. Joe Johnson needs to stay on the damn bench. Green is more athletic and has proven that he can be a spark off the bench.

I don't think Johnson should get minutes, everyone else is better than him.

    Harden
    Paul
    Capela
    Ariza
    Tucker
    Gordon
    B'Moute
    Anderson
    Nene
    Green
    Wright

All fit on the floor ahead of Johnson.

Joe Johnson is on the team whether you like it or not smart guy

Gerald Green is just a streaky shooter. He doesnt have to fit in to thrive. He chucks shots. Joe Johnson has to fit into the offense and they are working on him facilitating from the block

IF something happesnt to anderson/moute/tucker. Joe Johnson will have to play in the playoffs. You have to give him minutes. Green has proven he can flourish without them. You just forget the bad games green has because we were winning. Green is not that great man. He just has good games. When he shoots well he is fun to watch, but you cant count on it.

They are sharing the end of the bench minutes. You cant have joe johnson on a playoff roster with no experience with the team. He hasnt even played 15 games with the team.

they're sharing rotational minutes. green was in the game in the 1st quarter. guys like bobby brown and zhou qi were getting "end of the bench minutes"

and green didn't need 15 games to get accumulated because he just fit.

sometimes you just fit and sometimes you're just forcing a round peg in a square hole.

Interesting comment. If you or anyone thinks the team is too one dimensional (why iso much?), wouldn't growing chemistry with the guy who don't fit insert another option? It's a risk I'd want to take when these games mean less to the Rockets compared to other teams.

Green is an energy shooter who doesn't have to read plays or handle the ball. All he needs to do to get on the board's good graces is be ready to shoot or drive.

That might not be as easy in the playoffs.

Don't get me wrong, there's a use for energy, fearlessness and hustle like what Brewer did a few years ago. But if the shots don't fall, the board turns on a player as fast as a Harden double crossover.

i don't think this team is one dimensional at all.

people keep talking about "if green shots not falling" but green puts the ball into the basket for times than not. give me the guy who can put the ball in the hoop over the "passer". we have 2 hall of a fame level point guards already. you can never have to many scorers, especially off the bench.

I don't think playing GG more minutes now would make him more ready for the playoffs. I wouldn't mind him playing more to give the rotation guys rest, but so far it's choice of GG or JJ.
