I'm really curious about Joe Alexander of the Milwaukee Bucks cause he went to my high school, but it seems like lately I don't see anything about him. Did he get injured or did Milwaukee cut him or something?
The Bucks declined to pick up his option for next year - he's had injury issues as well as white man issues. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-alexanderbucks103009&prov=yhoo&type=lgns Had an excellent combine and was seen as a project since he grew up overseas and played very little organized basketball, even with Jefferson being traded during the offseason. Doesn't mean he's out of the league forever, just means the Bucks are dirt poor and would rather fill his $2.7 million option in the roster with a minimum contract player.
He came out too early basketball-wise but from an NBA Draft stance he was wise to cash in on his soaring draft stock. That said, he's young and still has plenty of time to get it together. I would be more than happy to take this guy on my team even despite the injuries. If he pans out he has the potential to become essentially a Shawn Marion clone -- an athletic do-it-all type player that rebounds, gets garbage points, brings energy, etc. There's always a place in this league for that type of player and supposedly he's a gym rat to boot. Be patient.
Did you decide to make this thread after seeing the other Joe Alexander thread on the front page discussing the same thing..?
