but that's the problem..some think JJ gonna go 2011 retro...I don't see that happening but I'd love to be proven wrong

Remember the last time JJ came back early from injury...not a good idea especially from an injury that takes significantly longer to heal

If the worst-case scenario happens (he re-tears the muscle), he still has enough time to recover this off-season.

As said before, these injuries are not career threatening. They're on the same level as a strained hamstring (which is also a muscle tear), except these require surgery to re-attach and promote healing.

I don't think anybody is expecting that. My post was merely to refute that Watt is not a "playoff choker" (whatever that is).

In the end, he's another body to help the front 7. And if he just happens to draw just a little more attention, he's going to free stuff up for other defenders to get pressure. Getting consistent pressure has been an issue for this line minus Watt.

He is already done. What does that mean, Texans will sign him to an extension just because of his name until next coach is smart enough to realize the truth and release him. Remember, Andre Johnson?

I don't know if he will have a good game statistically but I think he will give mercilus a chance to have a good game.
this defense had significantly less talent in the secondary when Watt was healthy as well. so this will only help the defense

Let the man play, this might be the last game of his career. He's going to be injured again so doesnt matter.

I thought his contract runs through 2021. No way they sign him past that. Too injury prone at this point in his career. He will probably go into Hollywood cast in action or tough guy roles. The sky is the limit really. Hollywood, broadcasting, talk show, politics, etc... Everybody loves JJ.

Wasn't he leading the league in QB pressures before he got hurt this year?

It's not ALL about the sacks.

Whoever said Watt wasn’t ready because of his pec should be ashamed. Even if he returned and aggravated it, a 6 month recovery would have him back for training camp. Whenever a HOFer fights to come back and play, you let him. We don’t win without JJ.

JJ sack will be on NFL Turning Point. That one sack changed the entire momentum of the game.

I was talking about another contract in 2022, not year.

Great job out there JJ. We couldn’t have won that game without you!
