The commentators always mention his wing span as the reason for his deflections, but i think his jumping ability plays a bigger roll.

If you have ever attempted a stationary box jump, you would know just how ridiculously athletic this feat is.

Damn proud that this dude is on our team!

    Feels good, man!

True but I feel he is doing it wrong when he just stands still and shakes his head to the crowd behind the QB. Mutumbo's perfected finger wagg had him doing it while on the run back down the court and at times while looking in a different direction.

The salute after a sack is fine but we might have to bring Dikembe to Reliant Stadium for a visit to get him to do a better finger wag.

Such a great player. I still remember the night he was drafted. Was in Costa Rica with my friends for a bachelor party and we all went JJ WHO? we were all bummed the rest of the night and drank away our sorrows.

    Boy were we all wrong.

Same here, I was thinking "what?", okay pick I guess but we could have done better...now in hindsight... We could have had the top pick in the draft and had a right for selecting Watt. He could easily get 16 plus sacks and 30 plus pass deflections this year. Totally unheard of for a 3-4 DE. He was getting double teamed now and it still did not stop his performance. what is especially great is unlike Jared Allen he can plays all 3 positions during a game to create mis matches

My brain (and sports watching experience) tells me there is like a 35% chance the guy is on what Cushings on. He's a beast.

Sry for being the debbie downer. Just being honest.

No way, his arms don't look unnaturally cut. He just looks like he's a hefty athletic dude.

I know this is a little off topic but i met JJ at panera bread, in pearland, last friday. He's a really gracious guy and he was kind enough to have a little convo with me and took a pic as well. He's a great guy and always gives time to his fans

For anyone that was at Katsuya last thursday...the defense was all there: Cushing, JJ, Barwin, Cody, etc...

They were all getting smashed...Im not sure how I felt about that. But, in any case, every single one of them is down to earth and cool. They were all mingling with the crowd. Pretty cool.

Beside her extraordinary attempts to make herself beautiful, I find that woman incredibly unattractive.

“They have really, really nice benches here. They have shade and they have cooling. So it was awesome that our offense could hold the ball for so long because it was relaxing over there.” - J.J. Watt on the accomodations at Evertarp Field

Yep, he's my new favorite Texan.
