Man, Tannehill is a big QB and Watt just envelopes him in that picture! I freaking love JJ so much. Assuming his career trajectory continues as it is currently, I am going to be so heartbroken if he is allowed to leave this team.

I think Watt is the type of player everyone wished Mario would have been. Mario was a pro bowl caliber DE, but he disappeared in a lot of games and didn't have the knack to make as many big plays as Watt.

    Debatable?

He will not LEAD us to a Super Bowl. It is not a bad thing , it's just fact.

However, he will be an important part on the journey.

So I should I should just put him in Canton then? Hell no.

This season is ripe for him to prove with ACTUAL big time performance , in big time games.

    The saying goes...

Big time players, make big time plays, in big time games. -Steve Smith-

And boy does he have the opportunity to prove it on the field. I look forward to it.

Actually it's not a fact. It's your opinion. Until he retires he still has the chance to lead the team to a superbowl.

Didnt he prove, as a rookie, that he can actually have big time performances in big time games? In the two playoff games:

Against Cincy: 1 sack, 1 PD, 1 INT, 1 TD.
Against Baltimore: 12 tackles and 2.5 sacks.

He couldnt have possibly been more of a monster at a time where stars have to shine.

come on man. i can agree to disagree with you on Schaub but implying that Watt still hasn't proved himself is asinine. He has DOMINATED in his last three games...vs CIN (playoff game), BAL (playoff game), and yesterday against MIA.

That warranted the praise I gave him. I lost my voice on the int TD!

Now for him to be elite, he has to take it to the next level.

    Broncos
    Ravens
    Packers
    Patriots
    Lions (Thanksgiving Day)
    Bears

It is right there for him. That is why I said his situation is fluid.

Predictions about the future are in no situation a fact. If the NFL is so fluid, predictions like this are folly. Your banging the table about it is what, an attempt to score an "I told you so" moment 5 months from now?

If you don't think he can lead us to a Super Bowl, why aren't you starting a tanking thread so we can get Landry or Barkley?

Any video highlights of the game out there bros? I missed it and thought some would be posted by now. Would love to see that AJ td, Josephs' interception, any JJ Watt, of course, and yes, would like to see the catches Walter made - sounds like he came thru while others were muffing the catch early in the game.

[Edit] Ooops, I meant to post the above in the game thread. Too much hairspray....

Comparisons to Mario don't make sense. Watt actually seems to love to play where Mario didn't seem to. Strikes me as one of those guys who has all the gifts, and just really doesn't love the game. Yeah, I know, I'm just restating things said 100s of times.

It was just more obvious Sunday since they kept showing Watt on the sidelines just soaking it all up and genuinely enjoying the game.

Its been said, but its 100% true. I know for a fact that Mario doesnt love the game. He tries hard and wants to play...but that passion isnt there.

Watt, on the other hand, oozes with genuine love and joy for the game.
