This team has way too much talent to be 3 games over 500. I just hope Hunsicker doesn't wait too long. Is there another Jack McKeon out there?

I just saw that we are 5th place in the division. Ouch... That pretty much says it all about the job that Jimmy is doing to motivate this team, the moves he makes in-game, and getting W's in the win column.

I was never impressed with him, and when he was named manager, I was angry because I believe that Tony Pena would have been the perfect man for the job. Drayton cannot get rid of Jimy quick enough in my opinion....but who do we get to replace him?

IF they were to fire Williams AND bring in someone this year, my guess would be Phil Garner.

I can't imagine why somebody might think that would be a good idea.

I think Justice said that our next manager would be Don Baylor.

I'd take Baylor at this point. I think its a little unfair to judge Garner on his records with Detroit and Milwaukee.....2 terrible franchises at the time.

I guess you could never get Joe Morgan out of the booth huh?

Many teams have tried and none have succeeded. My bet is that it will never happen. I believe he enjoys his announcer/analyst role too much to ever give it up for the pressure of managing.

No more retreads please. Jack McKeon was an exception to the rule.

I haven't seen Jimy striking out with the bases loaded.

    Repeatedly.

Jimy doesn't strike out wth a runner on 2nd and 1 out.

Jimy didn't strike out with the bases loaded.

Jimy doesn't ground into double plays with no outs.

    Jimy doesn't botch routine plays.

Jimy doesn't last only 6 innings.

this is ridiculous. It's not Jimy's fault. This team is full of veterans on both sides of the coin. The manager isn't the problem. Wake up

if this team...with all this talent assembled...particularly veteran talent...if this team can't win or remain competitive in this division...it's nobody's fault but their own.

You do agree the manager is the easiest to remove to shake up a club? As manager he is partially responsible for the team's failure or success....right now the team is sucking ass and Drayton needs to do something.

Firing the GM who put the team together is just as easy as firing a manager.

Of course, he did manage in the same division with a near dynasty. He's won more first round series than most the people on this team.

When do the players get any of the blame? Outisde of Pettitte and Clemens, this team is mentally weak. I believe we overstated the influence that those two would have on the rest. The key is getting those players out and bringing new ones in.

So it comes down to Jimy or Gerry? IMO it is a no brainer who gets fired. Astros have one of the best minor league organizations in baseball.

Gerry is responsible for the minors right? Or is that Tal? Anyways, I like what Gerry has done with what resources he has.

I agree the chokers have to be let go no matter how long they have been in Houston.
