Sorry if this has been answered before, but did they say when Jim is coming back? I regret missing his final game. I'm praying the Rockets move on so he can come back and go out the way he was supposed to. As for Gene, I think tomorrow night i'm gonna turn the volume down on the TV and listen to 610. Man, I wish they'd come back for just one more season...they need to sign off together.
I don't know about all that, but I hope they do the right thing and hand the microphone over to Craig Ackerman next season. The guy has more than paid his dues and brings great energy to the game.
I have this fantasy that Gene's last words as Rockets play-by-play announcer are "How sweet it is!" as the rockets wrap up championship number 3.
That would be great. I went to college with Craig, he was a nice guy and you could tell he was going to go somewhere.
