Yes, but he's basically priced out any Astros fans to the game and only Yankee fans will be there. For an Astros fan who would have a passing interesting in seeing the game they just went way too high.

I don't go to a lot of games and haven't been this season. could prices change like that in the past or is the first season of dynamic pricing

The fact that the Astros failed to at least make moves similar to the Cubs and Rangers means either

    A) They are too incompetent to take advantage of the loophole and recognize the potential.

    or

    B) They are too cheap to shell out money for prospects on a team that already spends no money on free agents and has been about acquiring prospects.

Regardless, it shows how ****ty management is.

Exactly, I really wish Luhnow would have done what he did with the Cardinals when he gave Oscar Taveras, a top 10 prospect in the game, that fat multi-million dollar bonus. Oh wait....

I guess the draft doesn't count or anything.

Wait... that doesn't fit the narrative. Boo Jim Crane! Boo Jeff Luhnow! Boo Oz Ocampo! Boo all the Latin American scouts!

    Better?

freeze, I don't think you realize that the Astros have spent on the international free agent market.

I'll go ahead and say that you're not totally informed of the situation.

    Oooooh yes they have.

    Bonus pool = $4,943,700

    They traded $784,700

They spent $400k on Wilson Amador who was the 24th ranked international prospect.

    And?

Enlighten us since you're completely informed on the situation.

You treat this forum like its yours or something. Why don't you start a site? Then you can post your cut carter after every homerun and snork and snicker about how knowledgeable you are and defend all things Astro unencumbered. It's cheap to start and run a site. You can do it! Im sure lots of people would enjoy visiting.

Got your "And?" right here, brah.

    You.

    Fail.

    Why you mad though?

We should play this again sometime.

    Good job, good effort, though.

Man, such anger. I wonder why you don't ignore me if you find me annoying. I guess you didn't pick up the sarcasm behind "Cut Carter."

I'm sure the Astros have signed more players from Latin America. We don't hear about them because they signed for so little.

Or maybe they're saving up in anticipation of some 17/18-year-old that has emerged.

I don't have to "snork and snicker..." I actually make an effort to stay on top of things. Don't like what I say? Don't read my sheet!

Maybe they've invested wisely, but the one thing they haven't done under Lunhow is spend big money internationally. They left a large portion of their pool unspent last year and, despite having the biggest pool, this year it looks like they'll leave a significantly portion of their pool unused again.
