to me this is complete non-news - thats not to say Dwight is going to leave or if he is staying (personally believe he will be staying in LA) but what else can the Lakers say?

"Nope he is good as gone" - their fanbase would riot and it would be a total PR nightmare

95% means they are showing a lot of confidence that will but if he doesnt they'll paint it as they tried everything they could do to re-sign him but Dwight chose differently.

Lakers are just covering their butts - Morey would do the same thing if he was in the same position.

maybe you didn't see yet but the 95% statement was from January. So it's less than non-news..

It's simple, if Dwight is the competitor that he says he is he leaves LA. There is no way that team full of dinosaurs is winning next year or in the near future.

And if Dwight signs with the lakers then thats no biggie, it shows that he isn't worthy as a competitor and we can move on to other fish. Either way the rockets are gonna win.

    Woosa.

I'm pretty sure he remembered that Kobe was on the team, and was trying to be funny (which I think he succeeded at).

Those Lakers had a fraction of the expectations and almost beat a prime phoenix Suns. At the least they won a playoff game. I don't even think it's close.
