I think he's got PPG 17 APG 6 FG% > 51% 3P% > 41% SPG 1,1 in 30 minutes It's quite impressive. If he stays hot and gets more minutes it should be not a problem to get 20+ PPG in April.
It still feels weird seeing Harden defer willingly to Lin so regularly in the clutch, but it's good to know that Lin's play has earned huge respect from the franchise player. Lin looks very Ginobiliesque at times. Doubt he'll ever be that good but he has his moments. Brooks & Harden have said as much, that when Lin beasts the game is his.
I believe the post-game interview in his first appearance back as a Houston Rocket at home. I'm paraphrasing but when asked about Harden & Lin, Brooks commented that "They're both great players, and when Lin plays well like he did tonight it's easy to forget that Harden was on the floor".
We're finally seeing a healthy Lin... His shooting in March, including tonight's game, is just over 53% FG and over 43% from TP. A fairly respectable 49 to 22 assists to turnovers. In short, Larry Brown was wrong.
A while ago, Jeremy Lin's number was still pedestrian and then his numbers begin climbing back to Linsanity level at the expense of Chandler Parsons'. I want to believe it's more Jeremy Lin's upside. But right now I am more inclined to believe the team is showcasing him for upcoming trade.
Nothing to do with a showcase. Team dynamics have changed over the course of the season and Lin has regained his confidence. Just recently Parsons was on a tear and was getting plenty of touches accordingly. There are only so many possessions in a game.
I couldn't find that trade rumor thread and just think this thread might be appropriate as well. A little bit of a troll? Yes. But LoH? You are being sensitive. I hope you are right. I am just more accustom to a more balanced scoreline.
Are you a teenager girl? Balanced scoreline? Only Harden and Lin can create for themselves. Rest of the team depends on others' playmaking to score. If Harde and/or Lin can't score, the team is in serious trouble.
Lin breaks down opp. defense a different way which involves more teammates than Harden does. So, it's a good thing that they mix it up in clutch time to optimize their chance. When Lin is on, Harden has no problem deferring to him. I always thought it's more the directives from the coaches to unconditionally force the isos for Harden in clutch time. Maybe they are trusting Lin more lately.
from the inside information, it is simply management want to play harden in normal minute to protect his knees and play lin more.
