I don't believe you are writing this bull. The coach give the green light to his players as to what kind of offence he would like them to play. Jeremy has been attacking the basket, and Mchale said he wants it that way. Your reasoning borders on the bizzare.

Mchale wants him to drive into the paint.

Absolutely right. The only time Mchale called a 3pt. play was in tawain. Mchale said in an interview that he ran the first play of the game for Jeremy and he hit the 3 pointer/

All but a few players you list are point guards. Many of them are 3pt specialists. Korver,Kovak, Shane B. etc. Cant compare them to Lin. As I mentioned before Lin is following orders, and the game plan, and plays.

Please stop. If McHale has to tell Jeremy to take the open 3pt jumpers instead of driving into the paint where BG and DJ are obviously waiting for him, well then, Jeremy is just not a very smart NBA player.

On the other hand, the whole team's (not just Lin's) 3 pt game is a problem. Whether it's passing, weird release, no arch, they're all shooting bricks, etc.. Should've created a general 3pt thread instead of singling out Lin.

I see you have never been coached. If he did that he would be Brooks back up. 0nly a superstar would disobey a coach. Wake up a die right.

Lin's FG% is currently the highest of point guards in the NBA. See ESPN stats.
    He's doing great.

I see you have not watched the games. On the contrary he is quite smart, he is following the game plan. Also , I must ask this question. Have you played competitive BB and disregarded the coach. If so what happened.

Lin loves to shoot (See Linsanitymtwo years ago. Mchale obviously want him not to shoot too much. Howard, Parsons, Harden. Casspi, and Garcia are the shoots that get the first call. Lin is to distribute the ball. Lin would be further down the bench if he took an average of 7 threes a gane as the OP suggests. Harden rarely takes that many.

lmfao this guy is comparing Lin to the Splash Bros. C'mon man don't go there. He's been 40%+ for only 7 games. What happened last night when he was wide open in the corner? Oh Harden jacked a three with two defenders closing out in his face

On contrary, I watch all Rockets' games, so no need to take that dismissive stance. Bottom line, McHale telling Jeremy to attack more does not mean giving up the open 3 if it's available. I'm sure Jeremy is also smart enough to know that he tried to attack and fail, hence take the 3 the next time.

If you understand MoreyBall you'll know that our players are encouraged to take the 3 or take it to the rim. Once again, encouraging him to play to his strength does not mean abandoning another better opportunity to score.

And lost in all the back-n-forth is simply the fact that Jeremy's decision-making still needs improvement.

Nice! Like I said to insist otherwise that Lin is giving up open shots at the instruction of McHale does Lin a disservice, pretty much making him out to be a very not-smart puppet. He's a smart man, he knows he messed up and what he needs to do. Wish ALL Lin fans would understand this instead of displacing blame elsewhere.

Lin is not shooting the 3s? Okay you have a point.

He is killing the team because he doesn't choose to shoot the 3 once or twice? What?!

Well then it's the whole team. The only one shooting 3 is Harden even if he is cold. Casspi and Garcia have not shot as much 3. They're getting the Parsons fever. They have an open shot and want to drive in. That's fine an all but they do need some shots from 3 going in so that the floor spreads out. And don't even start with Parsons. He keeps doing his stupid drive ins. Which u can usually expect a turnover of some kind. Either he will drive and get stuck with no place to go and just hold the ball looking lost, he would drive and jump and try to be bailed out the last second. He fakes the 3 and makes one of our hugs get a 3 second call. Or he will fake the 3 and travel. Parsons is playing really bad like if his a rookie. He played better last year or his rookie year. He just looks lost right now and not confident at all.

Exactly, I don't see anyone talking about Parsons pump faking a 3 with nobody around him and driving into the paint.

It's not just Lin. If u want to complain about someone it should be Parsons. He looks timid and looks lost. Or how about Garcia or Casspi. The team as a whole has been shooting terrible from 3
