I'll repeat what I said in another thread before this game. Jeremy Lin will show his worth, or lack thereof, in the playoffs. That's it. The Rockets aren't fighting for seeding, especially now that the Clippers are hugely unlikely to lose the 3rd seed to us. If Lin understand and can work out his issues before the playoffs, it would be great and I will forgive him for all the up and down play during the season. That is, IF he can come through in the playoffs.
So are you trying to impose a rule on Clutchfans that where a thread is about a specific player, no other players are allowed to be brought into the conversation? If so, why do I see names such as Beverley and T-mac being brought in but not drawing the same ire from you? After all, Lin and Asik have the same contract and there is reasonable basis for the comparison between their respective attitudes towards the team. Please see me after class if you still don't understand that.
I agree, the clippers and okc are just a really bad matchup, any other team he'll play well...but here's to hoping he and the team learned something tonight getting whipped by clips AGAIN
Lin is total waste after 2 years under McHale. Either you put him in a Sloan system like Hornacek does in Phoenix or in a DAntoni one where he has the freedom. There is no off ball movement on this team whenever they face a good defense. And Lin no longer has the confidence he had in NY, to just drive and be effective. And Morey cannot get anything of value in a trade as is.
op's topic (the owner of clutchfans topic): "Jeremy Lin upset with his play against Clippers". your topic: asik didn't give an interview. i'll go to class when your teaching is relevant.
I'll be honest, I didn't even watch this video of Lin. I have seen enough of his "I didn't show up," or "I didn't play well" videos this year. I guess it's good that he owns up to it, but if he can't find any sort of consistency than he's not worth even the second string here.
Spread the truth brother. Also tmac was suppose to be our maquis player .lin is not, but he's honest. Lin shows heart and humility not diva ness . Needs to get it together really soon though.
Lin needs to come through for the team, with Howard and Beverley being out he needs to take this challenge. I hope for the best and will wait to see what he does the next 5 games.
He's not talking to Stephen a smith declaring the team is only going to go as far as he takes them. Actually Yao Ming and Ron artest disagree.
Thought he had a promising start to the 1st quarter and 3rd quarter but just got lost on offense at the corner behind the line after the Clips blocked 2 or 3 of his shots and contested a few others. He had a bad shooting night. Clippers seemed intent on not giving him anything inside the paint and though he got to the line, he didn't use enough pump fakes to get them in the air. Ball didn't move his way when he was behind the 3 line and he didn't keep moving without the ball to make stuff happen. It seemed to me that he was thinking too much about how to fit in with Harden and was still adjusting to the role and mindset of starter after having spent the year re-programming himself to come off the bench. I think he'll have a better adjustment next game. Defensively, he handled his assignment on the 2 guard well, but he probably should've been asked to cover CP3 because he did a decent job on him last year and Parsons couldn't deal with him at all. Just a bad day at the office.
